Live graphics in Word

I have a series of charts that are being saved as GIFs on our web site. They
are updated monthly to show changes.
Can I create a live link to these in Word so that the printed report always
has the latest and greatest images for the GM. All attempts have resulted in
static images that will not update.

Yes you can, Insert, Picture, From File, select the file, choose Insert and
Link on the arrow next to the Insert button.
So long as your new versions are placed in the same place and called the
exactl same new (ie Save As) then when you refresh your document/links the
images will update.
