Loaded outlook 2000 on new computer, can't configure?

Cannot configure outlook 2000 to work on new computer. It is running OS XP.
I keep getting a message aoubt Microsoft exchange server.

You probably configured Outlook 2000 to run in Corporate/Workgroup mode
instead of Internet Mail Only. Can you get into Tools | Services?
