loading documents within a document

I have about 500 small files in various folders. I would
like to be able to type commands (approximately 40) in a
word document which load in specific files. As I know the
files names I would need off by heart, (different every
time), using INSERT and FILE would be too tedious and
also using BOILER program would not be suitable as files
are not all in C:\DOCUMENTS and would not be as quick as
me typing in 40 commands, perhaps of the form,
LOAD name001
LOAD name034 etc.

I've looked on Macros and VB but can't see anything that
would aid in doing this.

Any help, much appreciated.

Use an IncludeText field for each entry (save them as autotexts for re-use).
{IncludeText "c:\\path\\filename.doc"}
Use CTRL+F9 for the field boundaries. Toggle with ALT+F9 to display the
content. CTRL+A then F9 to update.
