Loading Grid - Server 2007 is hanging

we are just trying to set up PS2007. Two days ago project center would load,
but not loading grid displays but no rows/files are ever returned - loading
grid just continues to display.

We disabled the antivirus on the user machines and restarted project server
- the same thing still happens.

We are also not able to launch settings in the workspace pages or upload
documents.

Hi Debra,

Is this happening on every user computer or in a single computer?
In case of a single computer that you are using, please delete the
PS2007 ActiveX components and reinstall them. Hope you know the steps
here.

Debra:

You should check to make sure that your systems have at least MDAC 2.8, make
sure that the Project Server is in the trusted site zone which should be set
to custom security level low. Also make sure that Active X options are
enabled for the trusted sites zone custom security level.

Hi Gary,

Did you see my post from 9-12-2008? we are also having issues with having
http://app1/pwa recognized within the trusted sites.

"I added http://app1/pwa to my trusted sites, but I am still receiving the
following error: "The command is attempting to use a web page from the site
http://app1/_layouts/blank.htm. ; You have not identified this site as a
trusted site in internet explorer."

When I try to add it again it says it already exists in another zone. I
checked I do not see it in any other zone. How do I correct this?

I'll keep an eye out for your other post. At this point you may need to
cleanout your user profile to get this sorted out. Do you have a desktop
specialist that you can consult? I'd try deleting the browser cache and
carefully review the sites in the other zone profiles. Did you check
intranet zone?

I did check the other zones - no reference to the site was found. I also
cleared the browser cache. Something is still wrong.

Debra:

Can you logon to another machine using your credentials and see if it works.
If so and it works, then it would indicate a problem with your user profile
on the other machine.
