I purchased a laptop and would like to load ms office xp ver 2002 on it but I
already have it on my desktop when I put in the disk on the laptop it told me
i would only be able to log in 49 more times is there something I need to do
or just purchase another copy of the software. I thought the rep told me I
could put this on more than one but less than 3 computers when i bought it

STE 2002 can only be installed on one system. Period. The 2003 version
allows you up to 3.

The process whereby you place a program on HD is called
"installation", not "loading", which instead refers to starting a
program once it has been "installed" on your computer.

Programs are "loaded" into RAM(Random Access Memory), while an
"installed" program is "installed" on to the Hard Drive (HD), which is
NOT referred to as "memory", but is rather called "storage space".

The difference between the two is that "RAM' is volatile. Whatever is
stored in RAM disappears when the computer loses power, while whatever
is stored on the HD remains there as long as that HD is usable.
