Loading Office 2000 to XP System

I am trying to load Office 2000 to my new XP computer. I
need to load O2000 in order to install the upgrade XP
version I have been using for some time now. The problem
is that when the setup program runs in O2000, it fails to
load after the opening two screens, and issues an error
message: Internal Error 2343. Pls contact product
support for a assistance.

Any ideas what is going on and how to remedy?

Thanks for the response, Greg.

I did find the answer, though, with a net Search for the
error . It turns out that Lotus notes is loaded on my
computer , and that interfered somehow with the
installation of MS office . wants every named the notes
ini file, I was off to the races .
