Can I use the same media to load Office 2003 on a Mac?

Microsoft Office 2003 was not designed to work on a Mac, only a PC.
So, the answer is no.

I imagine that's true but I already own a PC version.

There is a Mac version of Office available.

It depends on the Mac and whether you installed Windows XP on it or the
Window emulation software.

It works, I have Office 2003 running in Virtual PC on my Mac....Don't use it
much though since I also have office 2004 on my Mac....
