JoAnn - I tried to read disks in both of the drives and they both failed.
I
think you solved the problem why Office wouldn't load, but now I have a
whole
new set of problems that quite frankly, I don't know how to fix. The
device
manager said they were working properly. I did "uninstall" both of the
drives and Windows reinstalled them upon "restart" but neither one works.
I
know this isn't your specialty but any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you tried another CD to see if it's the disk drive? Have tou tried
inserting the CD in another system to see if it's the disk?

I purchased Office 2007 separately. My laptop is running XP Pro and my
desktop is running XP Home Edition Service Pack 2, Version 2002.
:
I successfully loaded Office 2007 on my laptop but when I try to load
it
on
my desktop, the system doesn't see the disk in the drive at all. It
will
not
auto start nor can I manually start the set up since the system
doesn't
see
it. Any suggestions?
