Loading Office Project 2007

I could use some help resolving a problem loading Office Project 2007. I
have a laptop using Windows Vista and I had a trial version of Project 2002
loaded. When trying to load 2007 I receive a 1714 error that stops loading
about half way through. I've tried to use control panel to uninstall 2002
but that won't remove the software. I messed up and deleted the files
manually so now 2002 won't uninstall or even repair from the old disk. Any
ideas anyone?

Hi Lane,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

I don't have a definitive answer, but if you're absolutely happy editing the
registry, you could search and delete all references to Project. Don't
forget to save the registry first. I accept no responsibility for the
outcome, but I have done similar for other products. Good luck!
