Loading word too slow

Hi I'm Eleanor
I just bought a new computer windows XP and as well as i got MS office professional 2003. For a month already, everytime i open word it takes 3 minutes to load the program. Where as in other software like excel, access etc. It takes only a seconds to load. What's the problem with this. Any help?
