I have 2 PC's that have Office XP professional on them. the problem is I can
only find 1 disc. how can I find out what PC my copy is installed on or does
it make any difference? I'm trying to do an update and it ask's for the disc.

As long as it is the exact same version and edition, for example Office XP
Professional, then the number doesn't matter. If one of the systems has
Office XP Small Business, then it matters.

If you want to be on the safe side, download Belarc Advisor,
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html. This will give you a wonder audit
of darned near everything about that computer. I find that info to be
extremely helpful for more than just Office product keys.

Thank You so much, the information was great and more than I was hoping for.
I did the download, what a great piece of advice and the printout is great
also.
Thank You Again

I have a printout for all of my home computers as well as my mom's. You
never know when you'll need something from that sheet. :)
