Locating normal.dot

M

MV Rao

I am using Windows XP and Windows 2000. I am unable to locate normal.dot.
When I use Search, it shows the path to be
c:\Documents and Settings\45\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
However when I use Explorer, I am unable to see the sub-directory
Application Data under 45!

make sure you have explorer set to show hidden files

a.. Click Start.

a.. Open My Computer.

a.. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.

a.. Select the View Tab.

a.. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and
folders.

a.. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.

a.. Click Yes to confirm.

a.. Click OK.
