location of zoom point

I am running Powerpoint 97. Is there anyway I can get an image to zoom out
from a certain point on the slide rather than centre or bottom etc. I would
like it to zoom out from another image

Unfortunately that's not possible.

Powerpoint 2002 (aka XP) and 2003 can do it no problem.
