Lock / Freeze text

I need to be able to freeze text, like a footer. I have a
document which has different sections such as Section 00300
Page 1 of 2. But unlike a footer, I don't want the entire
document to read Section 00300. Is this possible?

Have you inserted section breaks between sections? If so, the footer can be
different. Or, if the section number is in the text somewhere in a specific
style, you can use a StyleRef field to pick it up (without requiring section
breaks).

Yes, this is possible, however it can be tricky.
You will need to create a "next page" page break. Look it up in help and the internet using those words.
