I am managing a project from MS Access 2000 and today it has locked up. The error message states that 2 or more users tried to change or save the same record. We have all gotten out to the DB and tried rebooting each individual PC. All to no avail. IS shows no external user or even a 'ghost' user, but we cannot open the DB to attempt a repair.
The actual message is " The Microsoft Jet database engine has stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."
Does anyone know of a way to recover from this error? I can request a tape restore from last night but will lose valuable data that was entered today.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
