Locking a task after hiding subtasks?

Is there a way to lock a task after hiding it’s subtask, so when you change
Outline View Levels you don’t have to re-hide everything?

Susan,
I guess I don't understand exactly what you want. There is no way to
"lock" a task from being viewed but your post to to brief to fully
explain what you are trying to accomplish.
