locking connectors in a flow chart

i am drawing a flow chart and am having connection issues. yes, i'm in
a drawing box. in fact, i've found that if I hit the Alt key and move a
locked anchor (red) it will unlock (turn green). I want to lock an
unlocked anchor, however. any suggestions of how to do that? the
ultimate goal is to lock one connector to another (it branches into two
unique objects). thanx.

go figure that i would post a msg and then half figure it out. i can
now make an unlocked connector lock to an auto shape. is it possible in
word to lock one connector to another at the middle yellow diamond
between the two anchor points?

thanx.

In the flow chart symbols there is a circular connector to which you can
connect your various other connector lines (even connect different ones to
the same connection point. Once connected, go to the Format Properties for
the connector symbol & set both its Height & Width to .01", which will
render it virtually invisible. That's the only suggestion I can offer.
