Hi,

If I get an EPM environment implmented in my company, can
I set up and force specific rules on various fields or
functions in Project. EG. I want an environemnt where PMs
cannot rebaseline their files. If a PM rebaselines his
project file does this then automatically get updated into
the master file held on the server? or can it be refused
as an invalid update? Also, can the server download data
to the PM's files eg to set admin flags?

In the environment you describle, you cannot deny the rebaselining of
projects by PM's, but it is possible to deny them persmission to ever save a
baseline. In this situation, you would need to assign some else, such as a
PMO staff member, to be responsible for the baselining of projects. The
alternative is to establish a standard methdology for the baselining and
rebaselining of projects, and then make this a training and performance
issue with your PM's. Hope this helps.
