Locking pictures onto page Word 2007 & remove text

I have written a 3 page text with color photos inserted in various positions.

I wish to lock these pictures in place, and remove the text, so that I can
print out pictures only in color. I have so far used 'tight' text wrapping,
located against absolute position on the page and then locked anchor on each
picture.

Then my aim is to use a separate printer to print the text in black and
white around the already printed color pictures

However when I delete the text the photo's disappear as well!

What do I do?

The pictures are anchored to the text. Instead of deleting the text, change
the font color to white.

Many thanks. This had crossed my mind. Seemed like cheating!!!!!!! Did it
last year ( it's my Christmas letter - and only slow color printer) - have
the separate sheets for color and for B&W text but can't for life of me
remember how I did it!

If I was starting again is there any way I can layout the pictures over
three blank pages (ie no text) and fix them in place?

Then add text if I wanted to?

I do this once a year, too, when I create the programs for our annual Rotary
installation and awards banquet. I want to print the Rotary annual theme
logo on my color printer, but the text resolution is much better on the
laser, so I print just the graphic in color and then the text in black on
the LaserJet. I do it by making the text white for the color printer, then
formatting the picture to 100% brightness, which makes it disappear (but
still take up space).

Although it would conceivably be possible to use text boxes and very precise
positioning to create two separate documents, or to add and remove elements
from a single document, the technique of white text and 100% brightness is
so simple and works so well for me that I just wouldn't consider any other
approach.

Well, I had a sleep and it worked itself out. I believe that if I made text
white the desk jet printer would just make 'white ink text ' and take longer
(it did when I tried on dark paper)

So, I created a master document with Text and Pictures, in exact place I
wanted them:

Wrap 'Tight'.
Other Wrap Options:
Absolute Position: relative to 'page'
Lock on Page

Next I opened a new document, and viewed it, with scrolling , side by side
with master docuemnt

Copied each picture individually onto new page

Wrap options ( individually after copying to make sure kept exact same
position) :
As before, checked Absolute Position: relative to page ( checked hadn't
moved)
Locked on page
Checked 'In front of text'

Did this for each picture
Now I have correct position to act as master color print

For the text I just mad sure that on teh original sheet all the pictures wer
anchored.

Then I put a white text box over the top of each picture

Now I have the matching text sheets to cprint ontop of the matching already
printed color sheets - pictures and text are in right poristions.

Took a few minutes when I had it figured out.

Thanks for the time and the helping my brain to start working

AFAIK, no printer will "print" white text unless (a) it's formatted as black
and you have substituted a white ink cartridge for the black one or (b) you
have a colored background that the text is reversed out of, and in that case
it's printing the background, not the text.
