locking the position of a table in word

I have a document with numerous tables in it. I want to 'lock ' the position
of the tables. The problem is that the tables keep moving. I've tried all of
the options in the dialogue box without success.

Help !

Use a Frame instead. Table properties-Convert to Frame.
Table doesn't have the "Anchor" function.

I've tried that already,

I want each table to be at the top of the page but the problem start when
the table extends onto a second page and pushes the next table down.

I inserted <page break> but it moves with the text causing blank pages where
I don't want them.

thanks

I can't find this option in table properties.

I'm using Word 2003, perhaps it's not available in this version.

is there any other way of doing it ?

many thanks

Sorry, my mistake - you can convert a Text Box to a frame, not a table.

Where should the table be if there is already one on the page?

I want each table to be at the top of a page.

if it spills onto a new page it's pushing the 2nd table down the page, I'd
like the second table to move onto a new page and remain at the top of the
page ?

is this making sense ?

thanks

The only way I can think of locking this down is to insert a Text Box,
convert it to a frame, anchor the frame to the page, and insert the table
inside the frame...
