Locking Up on Attachments ?!?

Everything works fine BUT my outlook sometimes locks up
when I goto an email with an attachment. What is
happening is that when I first start Outlook, it will
will either let me go to an email with an attachment or
it won't. 95% of the time it will not work. Once it
works, it will continue working just fine. I have already
reinstalled Outlook but it didn't change anything.

I looked in the knowledge base but didn't see anything
useful.

Does anyone have a clue what may be doing this because I
am heavily dependent on my email.

I'm having similar issues, did you ever find any resolution? Sometimes it
works great and other times it freezes up constantly when trying to open up
e-mails with attachments. I have Outlook 2003. I've been reading and found
that Norton can perhaps mess with Outlook and even SpyWare, but I stopped
Norton and scanned for SpyWare with no resolution. Do you have Norton?
