Lockup when creating a new macro

Running Windows 2000, Office Professional 2000. When
trying to create a new macro it suddenly locks up. When I
open the task manager I notice that Desk95.exe is eating
up some of the resources. Could this be the problem and
exactly what does this executable do? If this isn't
what's causing my problem does anyone have any suggestions?
