Log of project worksite accesses

W

Walter

We are using Project Server 2003.

Is there a way to get a log of who accesses project worksites? I would be
happy with a high level view of who accesses the overall Sharepoint system
but if I can get it down to the individual site (project) that would be
better.

Also, is it possible for a person to access the Sharepoint site for a
project but not show having accessed Project Server in the grid on the
Admin->Users and Groups page? Ex. if they bookmark the URL to a document or
go straight to it from an e-mail link?

Thanks,

Walter

Hi Walter,

Question one can be answered with "No". you have no log wihthin WSS. There
may be some 3rd party products out there but I havent heard of any.

Question two can be answered with "Yes". You will need to give the user
access to the workspace and send him the link (URL). This user would then
have access to the workspace without having access to Project Server. Please
bare in mind that there are some implications, the user can not link risks,
issues or document to project tasks. You should also check license
implications. I could imagine that you may need a CAL license for this user
anyway. In that case, you cuold add the user to Project Server.
Hope this helps
