Login as "System Account" [PS2007]

I have a user defined in the Resource Pool as a Team Member, using Windows
Authentication. When he logs into PS2007 PWA, he is not recognized by his
name but rather by "System Account" (as in "Welcome System Account" at the
top). System Account has Full Control, so obviously this isn't a good
situation. He is a local administrator on his PC but has no other special
privileges in the domain. Any guesses what's going on, or how to debug this?
We've been using 2003 for a while and haven't seen this before.

To be more complete, it logs in as "SHAREPOINT\System", rather than
"[DOMAIN]\[username]" like the others.
