Recently installed a new system with xp sp2 onto a SBS server 2000 system.
New pc has outlook 2000. System logged into network fine and initially
logged into the exchange server fine. Cutstomer is using Mcafee virus
protetction that had to be re-downloaded on this new client. When accessing
Mcaffe's web site for downloading the VP, it asked me for a username and
password apparently to get through the isa server. I put in the
administrators username and password, rather than the users, which
apparently I should have used, and downloaded the VP AOK. Now when I open
outlook I get the "Can't open the store, you don't have permission to
login". If I switch outlook over to login to the administrators mailbox, it
will login just fine. So apparently outlook took the password that I used
for the ISA access and is now using this as it's default username and
password. If I change the password authentication to "None", then I get a
enter the username, password and domain name. If I enter the users
information, outlook opens fine. My question is, where is this password
cached, and how can it be changed? or some other work around...
Thanks
