Login issues with PROJ PRO and Proj Server 2K3

[NYC PMO]

Setup:
- Single-server install
- on Windows 2000 Server SP3
- SQL Server 2000 SP3
- Project Server 2003 SP1
- All patches
- Novell Network


1. Prior state:
Was able to get access to ProjServer 2k3 via PWA and Pro internally (inside
the firewall)

2. Current state:
Had to make the site accessible via the web externally but now we can't log
onto ProjServer via Proj Pro client. However we can log onto ProjServer 2k3
via PWA


Error 1326: the "connection failed" from SQL Server

Seems as if the authentication for the anonymous account is failing. Can
anyone help? I don't know what to do to resolve this.

If you're calling the site using a FQDN, you may very well be running up
against a network port restriction on port 1433.
