Hello good pple of the forum,
How do i disable the internet explorer from appearing when a user is about
to gain access to PWA. Also, a client machine which is a member of the
project server domain doesn't seem to have right to download the active x
controls. How can i get around this.

Thank you

Hi ghostme,

I do not get your first question. However on the second one, it will
request for downloading active X controls when the user first time
login to PWA. If the user has local admin permission on the computer,
they can download and install. Below link could explain more on this.

Thanks for ur reply, as for my first question, when a user types in the
address of the PWA, a login box appears, for the users credentials. I have to
edit the security settings manually, so that IE will log in the individual
automatically based on the
individuals domain log in credentials. However, is there no automated way i
can achieved centrally for all clients?

Yes, you can do this by setting IE security settings as below.
Under Tools menu choose Internet Options. Go to Securuty tab and
choose Trusted Sites, here click on Custom level. On the pop up drag
down and you will see an option for logon, choose the third option.
Also add the PWA URL to trusted sites. Under PWA, Admin - Manage
Securities, choose User authentication to choose Mixed mode. Hope this
helps.

Thanks,
Ravi.
