Login to PWA? Why is this happening?

Note: We are using MS Project Server Professional 2007SP1 with PWA

One of our Project Admins, for some unknown reason, now has to login
(enter password) to get into PWA. We both have the same permissions
(full Admin permissions), licensing, etc., but for some unknown
reason, PWA now requires him to enter a password. It does not require
a password for myself. For several years he has been able to lauch
PWA without this, but then one morning it started requireing it. We
have made no changes server side.

Anyone have thoughts on why this is happening and how to fix it so it
does not request a password when launched?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

check options in IE, perhaps there had been some changes? Depending on the
zone (Trusted or Intranet) "Automatic logon with current user name and
password" or "Automatic logon only in Intranet zone" has to be enabled.

Steve:

In addition to Barbara's excellent suggestions, you should also check to see
if the user has stored a password for the site inadvertently. Look for
stored passwords under Manage Users in Control Panel. Have the person logon
to a different machine to verify that this is a machine-specific issue and
not a user-specific issue. This helps narrow things down.
