This is an unusual one, but I hope someone out there can
help me.
I made a contact list database with MS Access 2000. The
table in this database has the first name, the last name,
their birthdate, and their picture. The picture, in
Access, is of an OLE Object type.
Because I'm used to how MS Word does it's "Mail Merging"
I have decided to use MS Word (2000) for setting up a
template/form for this data. Here's my problem...
I insert the MS Access data into the MS Word document
using the following method:
* Click on the "Insert Database" icon on the Database
toolbar
* Click on "Get Data" under Data Source
* Changing the Files of type to MS Access, I choose my
MS Access database file, CONTACTS.MDB, and open it.
* Click on the "Contacts" table and click on OK
* Click on "Insert Data" then on "OK" for All records.
What happens is it gives me a nice table with what I want
except for one detail... The photograph that I have for
each person in the MS Access table (the OLE Object)
appears as the following text: "Long binary or text
value"
Is there anyway to tell MS Word to display this OLE
Object/picture as a picture? And if so, can I have these
pictures automatically resized to a specific dimension?
Thanks in advance!
