Hi All
I have a range of cell say from E1 to E12000. How do you find which cell
has highest number of characters in it without physically going thorough
each cell manually.?

Hi

try using LEN function i.e. in cell F1 u can have the following formula
entered and drag down.

=len(E1)

Assuming there are *no* ties in the highest # of characters in col E,
and that as suggested by masim, you have put in F1 : =LEN(E1)
and filled down col F

try putting in say, G1
: =ROW(OFFSET(E1,MATCH(MAX(F:F),F:F,0)-1,0,1,1))

G1 will return the row number
of the cell in col E with the highest # of characters
