LONG delays when switching printers

Hi,

We are having problems with Excel taking 45 seconds to
over 1 minute to switch between a local printer and a
network printer and vice-versa.

Since we have MACROS in our worksheets that automate
printing, the DELAY involved in switching between Printers
is causing Execl to FREEZE and/or STOP RESPONDING.

Any ideas on how to REDUCE or ELIMINATE the time required
for Excel to switch among the different available Printers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
