Looking for Image Composer

K

Karen

Hi,

Can anyone PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let me know if they have a copy of the old
MS Image Composer 1.5 that used to ship with FrontPage 98? I had a copy but
lost it and cannot find it anywhere on the net.

Would be very gratefull if anyone could direct me to a place where I can
download it. If you have it, please send me an e-mail.

Thanks.

Karen.

Karen,

On my copy of FP98, ImageComposer is on the same disk.
Hope you don't mind, I passed your email to someone who
said she had copies of IC a number of months ago.

But an artist has a variety of brushes for different uses. Can you do an oil
painting with a fountain pen? There is a Chinese saying: "Even the cleverest
housewife cannot cook a meal if she has no rice."

I have both IC and Photoshop elements. There is a world of difference. It
helps a lot to have the right tools. Try building a house with a kiddie
construction set.

Apples to apples. We're talking about software that is used to present a
graphic image. Image Composer can be used to make some rather good graphics.
If the artist is more comfortable with IC, that's the best tool.

I won't argue with that, but it actually supports my point. The tool does
make a difference. Apples to apples is fine, but you're the one who brought
up the analogy of the artist. And you can't fault Eleanor for recommending
the software that she prefers. That's what the newsgroup is for.

But it's always fun to get into a little discussion.

No argument about Eleanor having a preference. "Better" is the subjective
part.

Thanks for the fun! :)

Karen Canada,

You need 2 test copies? I have both MIC and MS Picture It! which both work
just as you explained. This PSP vs. 8 assumes you have years of prior
knowledge with no tutor help files.

your risks with the detailed information in these three straightforward

Karen,

I agree the MIC is a excellent image application, and is the only one I use.

If you have or can get the FP98 CD or the FP2000 standalone version CD, then
you have MIC 1.5. Otherwise check eBay.
