lookup column

I cannot make the focus of the form stay the same... I have many pieces of
equipment to attach to one technician... Every time I enter a piece of
information the lookup column goes blank... how can I make it stay the same
until I change it

We're not there. We can't see your form, nor your table structure, nor ...

We may not have the same definition of "lookup column" that you have,
either.

If you have a one-to-many relationship (one technician can have multiple
pieces of equipment "attached"), a common way to handle this is to use a
main form for the technician, and a subform for the technician's equipment
attachments.
