Lookup function on the web

Can I use excel to perform lookups on the internet? I am a teacher and
want to have students log onto my website and punch in their ID number
and get a progress report for only them. Will this work with excel?

Hi,

I am not sure if you want to perform lookup from website to excel or vice
versa - if so, you can use Web Query to import data to Excel worksheet and
then do a lookup.

I want my students to be able to type in their ID number online and ge
a printable progress report. I want to use the lookup function so tha
students can only view the progress report that is associated with thei
ID number and no one elses. I have heard this is possible but do no
know how to do it. Can someone point me in the right direction
