lookup to use a value in a calculation

Column A contains a value that increments on a regular basis. The highest value in this column is used as the divisor in cell D13 which is the sum of D211... How do I use lookup to find the highest value in Column A? Thanks...

Instead of a lookup, use

MAX(A:A)
