Is there a way to assign lookups to table fields using basic, not table
design view?

I need to create lookups en masse (hundreds) based on some rules and using
set of specific queries that is more simple to do in code than visually.

You can set the DisplayControl property of the Field in the TableDef to
Int(acComboBox), and then set the other properties.

Do one manually, and then examine the properties as an example.
