Looooong time to open File-Open (2003)

Hi all.

I'm experiencing a really weird problem with office 2003 when trying to use:
File-open
Save as
Insert file
Or any other option that requires accessing the folder/disks, the program
(excel, word, outolook) freezes for up to one minute (or more) before I can
proceed. And if I try to access a sub folder while using these tasks (as
opposed to simply acessing a file on the folder displayed when starting the
task) it freezes again. This only happens in 2003. I've reinstalled 97 and
works fine...

I have WinXP pro in a Server 2003 nework (but it also happened with NT).
Any ideas?

Open My Computer and r-click and select Disconnect for any
connection/drive with a Red "X".

Ah... cr...

Completely forgot... I got a drive that has to be manually restarted
(diferent router...)
