Looping a sound

Hi,

Could some kind soul please advise how (if possible) to play a sound whan a
message arrives, but have the sound "loop" until the message is acknowledged.

I have a team of ops who will receive urgent email requests to a machine
that isn't attended full-time; this will allow them to be notified of new
mail without having to constantly check it.

I don't know of any way to do that.
