I'm using Office 2007 on a computer running XP SP2. I'm currently using
"Compatibility Mode" (.doc) for document files.
I highlighted text in one open document and tried dragging it to another
open document. I wanted to place the text at the head of the document. But,
when I moved the text, the formatting (like, the paragraph marks) seemed to
disappear, and it became one big chunk of text. However, when I tried
placing the source text further down into the target document -- below some
other text, not at the head -- it came out fine.
This has never happened before. I've highlighted and moved text before
without losing the formatting.
I already tried changing the options regarding moving text between files
through Office Button > Word Options. But, the result was the same.
Could this be a glitch because I'm not using the ".docx" option?
