Losing Folders/Documents after installing FP 2003

I installed FrontPage 2003 the other day on a brand new
computer, did a full installation, went to Microsoft's
Office Update website and downloaded the latest updates.
Now, I went to My Documents and all of my folders that had
subfolders and files in them have disapeared! Example:
all of the pictures in the My Pictures folder are gone!
All of the music I had in the My Music folder are gone!
My website under the My Webs folder, gone! I am not a
happy camper. It seems that FP 2003 deletes all the files
inside the folders in My Douments. Please let me know why
this happened? I have never had a problem with software
like this before. If I had known, I would have had
backups made before I did the installation. I am very
disapointed with Microsoft.

Installing FP 2003 to the default install folder does not affect the My Document folder
- or any of the user profile folders
Creating a Web out of your My Documents folder Might affect that folder (but only if you delete the content from w/i FP)

Are you sure you are loggin in to Windows w/ the same user ID as your previous profile

If all else fails try to do a System restore to the day before you installed FP2003

Check the My Documents folder under all the Profiles. This is usually in C:\Documents and Settings. FrontPage 2003 uses a different My Webs now. It is called My Web Sites.
