Losing Task Changes

I am making changes to tasks and adding new ones. When I
publish (tried a million different ways), the changes are
not reflected in PWA if I view the details of the
project. But resources that I have assigned to the tasks
see them in their Timesheet view. I did a little digging
into the SQL tables, and found that MSP_TASKS shows the
changes that I am making, but MSP_VIEW_PROJ_TASKS_STD does
not. If I manually change that table then they show up.
So I changed the permissions on the table to make sure
that there was proper authority to update, but no go there
either. Is this problem a symptom of something else that
got messed up? FYI - I have also installed 2003 on
another client and server, and have the same problem
there - so whatever I did, I did it consistently.

Thanks
Ed

Here is a further update. I saved the project with a
different name, and published it. Everything works for
that 'new' project. Does anyone have any ideas for me to
salvage the original project? We have all kinds of
documents, time entry, etc associated with it that I do
not want to lose. Seems as though something is corrupted,
any ideas?

Thanks

I tacled the same problem (sorry for my English, I'm
French).
To solve it,
1) we activated the object access audit
2) We audited the root of the server
3) We rebooted the service "Microsoft Project Views
Notification Service
4) We noticed an error : "Failure audit, Security, Object
Access, 560, OLAP"
5)So we put the OLAP account into then local
administrators group.

And it works!!!!

The problem seems to come from a change in registry about
the DLL msvbvm60.dll

Hope this helps.

Tell me if it works in your configuration.
