Losing the connection to the imap server for no apparent reason

I keep losing my connection to my imap server for no apparent reason. This
happens on a consistent basis overe both my wired and wireless home network (
dedicated 5Mb connection). Any suggestions?

Could it be your virus scanner interfering with your mail connection? If it
integrates with Outlook, disable this integration and try again.
