Loss of tile option in Outlook 2007

I have lost the option to display my Outlook 2007 page as a tile size.
Clicking on that option on the bar leaves only a small task bar on the
screen. It has been working fine. Using Vista, if that makes any difference
and can't find anything in the Knowledge Base.

And on what "bar" do you find this option? I don't seem to have this
anywhere in Outlook 2007...

I don't know the official name, but the standard one at the top right hand
corner that allows you to minimise, tesselate or close the programme.

So you mean when you click the middle one? That is to toggle between Normal
and Maximized state. When you are in Normal state you can grab the borders
of the window with your mouse and resize it to whatever you want.

Ah. Got you.
When you click on the "tile" and just get a "bar" can you drag the corners
of it back to the size you had before?

It will only let me expand it horizontally!

Many thanks. I thought I'd tried that and it hadn't worked, but this time I
must have hit he right spot and all is now restored, though why it went in
the first place is a mystery!
