Lost ability to insert Dynamic HTML effect

I was able to highlight text and objects and then select
formatting and insert a dynamic HTML effect. This
function has stopped working. I have made no changes to
setting in Frontpage and even went so far as to uninstall
Frontpage and reinstall it. Same problem. Does anyone
know how this is corrected?

tools/ page options/ compatibility tab, set browser to "custom".
