Lost all emails in O/L prior to installing O/L 2007 help !

Hi I have just installed Office 2007 and have lost all my emails in Outlook
prior to installation - I have just assumed that they would be either
transported across or archived - are they gone totally or can I access them
somehow?

If you enable searching hidden files/folders and then search for your .pst
file, do you find it? If yes, then open Outlook and use File->Open->Outlook
Data File to open that file and then make it your default.
