Lost All My Outlook Settings, Contacts, Emails....

While deleting some software from my PC this AM, I was asked to shut down
Outlook 2003 as I use Word as its editor. MS Word is still installed and
works fine but when I opened Outlook it was like starting the program from
scratch with no contact, settings, emails....

I found some .pst files on my PC but they were dated 2006. In that Outlook
was working earlier this AM, shouldn't the .pst file have today's date?

PST files from 2006 could be archive.pst files or older outlook.pst files
since you can have multiple PSTs. The default PST filename is outlook.pst
unless someone or you have named it something different. Do a file/folder
search for *.pst and make sure you choose the option to search through hidden
files/folders.

Thank you. Your information is helpful.

I have found the Outlook.pst is and it is 1,607,057 KB in size. When I try
to import it into Outlook (File-->Import - Export-->Import from another
program or file-->C:\(location of file) I get a error message: "The operation
failed. An object cannot be found.

Do not import, simply open it in Outlook using File->Open->Outlook Data
File.

I am almost back to where I want to be except I do NOT have a [Send -
Received] button on the main Outlook screen.
