Using Outlook 2003 SP1 under Win XP SP2, I initially lost the new mail sound
and could not restore it by selecting it again in Control panel as a kind
person suggested I do (and thank you, Mary), but now I have lost the
envelope desktop alert and sound as far as Outlook is concerned. Would
anyone have any ideas as to how I might restore these. I have reinstalled
office after trying several detect and repairs. Thanks for your help.
