Lost Audio File In Word

Hello, I just started using the notebook layout in Word and I encountered a problem. I recorded a lecture in a Word document. However, I copied and pasted a previous lecture into the same document under another tab. This previous document also had an audio file attached to it. I have lost the initial audio that was in the original document. Am I only allowed to have one audio file recorded per document even though there are tabs to create another section? Is it possible to retrieve this lost file somehow?
I hope this post has made sense! Thank you in advance.

I think your post makes enough sense for us to answer :)

1) Yes, there can be only one file in a notebook document. You can "add to
it" by recording more, but there can be only one.

2) No: I think you have over-written the original file in that document.
So it's gone.

It will be there in Time Machine if you bring the document back. Don't
forget to save the current version under a different name before you do
this, so you do not overwrite it too.

Cheers
