Lost Autofilter option

In EXCEL 2003 when I click on Data then Filter, I no longer see the
Autofilter choice. How do I get it back?

Check to see that the worksheet is not protected.

You could try:

Tools|Customize|select the Standard toolbar and click the reset button.

Any customized changes you've done to that toolbar will have to be redone.

Thanks for the repsonse.

I tried your suggestion with no luck. When I click on the filter
selection, the only choices I get are: Show All(which is greyed out) and
Advanced Filter.

You can reset all the toolbars.

Close excel
Windows start button|Search
look for *.xlb
in hidden folders, too

Rename them all to *.xlbOLD and restart excel to see if it helps.

If it doesn't help, rename them back to *.xlb.

If it does, delete those *.xlbOLD files and recreate any customized toolbars.
