Lost charts and conditional formats when connecting an LCD monitor

Using Excel 2003.

Had no problems when using a regular monitor but when using a large LCD
monitor saome of the color formats don't appear - paricularly those called
for by conditional formatting. Also, charts don't appear.

Using the same resolution - 1280X720

Any ideas?
